To use the new key shell, you will need to transfer the internal electronics, including the immobilizer/transponder chip, from your original remote and place them into our key shell. Once done, your key will be ready for use!



Please ensure that your key is exactly as the one shown in this picture

If you are unsure, kindly send us a photo of your original key for confirmation. We will assist you in purchasing the correct key shell to ensure compatibility


Important Note:

The new provided key will need to be cut which will require locksmith to fit the new key housing, as the MK7 key will not fit.

I like that I can place a cr2032 battery instead of the 2025 but the fact that it lacks water resistance worries me a bit. Also it's not plug and play, you have to file and drill the original key to fit the new one. Overall good quality, it's thinner than the original fob and it has a higher capacity battery in so I do recommend it!
